Summer signing Sergio Ramos could make his debut for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) when they take on hosts Saint Etienne in a French Ligue 1 clash on Sunday afternoon. Spanish international Ramos has not played a single game for PSG since his free transfer signing in the summer.
PSG snapped him up on a free transfer a few days after his official exit from Real Madrid and he has not kicked a ball since then. Sergio Ramos has been plagued by a thigh problem since he became a PSG player in the summer and that explains his non-activity for the club till date. Earlier this month, it was reported by several media outlets that PSG are considering contract termination. However, terminating his contract should not be an option anymore as long as he proves his fitness in the coming weeks.
Sergio Ramos made his first appearance of the season in the PSG squad for the mammoth Champions League clash with hosts Manchester City in midweek. He was an unused substitute as Manchester City came from a goal downto beat PSG 2-1 at home.
The Premier League champions dominated the game and were unfortunate to go behind through a KylianMbappe strike off the assist from the great Lionel Messi five minutes into the second half. Manchester City responded to the adversity of going behind with goals from Raheem Sterling and substitute Gabriel Jesus.
